Cebu City (4 June) — As the country celebrates the annual Migrants Workers Day 2008 on Saturday, June 7, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA-7) is gearing up a thanksgiving program for the nation’s modern-day heroes and their families titled “Araw ng Pasasalamat.”
A whole-day event will be held at the E-Mall in Cebu City with more than 5,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families to be treated to an afternoon of entertainment from our very own artist fellow Cebuano singer Chad Borja and the Stage Crew Band.
The program is a way of thanking the OFWs, dubbed as modern-day heroes, on their significant contribution to the country’s national economy not to mention their sacrifices of having to work away from their loved ones just to provide a good future to their family.
Lots of exciting raffle prizes are in store for those OFWs, whether active or returnees, and their dependents who have pre-registered with the OWWA Cebu Office.

Around 25 licensed recruitment agencies with various job orders will join the fair.
